Madrid Cultural Immersion Experience: Language, Folklore and Gastronomy
A week-long program designed to provide a rewarding taste of Spanish Life. Immerse yourself in different activities to get the best cultural experience in Madrid.
Besides basic tourist visits in the capital city mostly in the first 2 days, we suggest many things. First, attend a daily 2-hour intensive Spanish course. Secondly, try a Flamenco workshop for beginners. Lastly, do a practical cooking lesson after visiting a local market with the chef. These help visitors immerse themselves in Spanish language and culture (and teach them about great food!). Pair each meal with a glass of wine or a beer and you are set.
Finally, the participants will get familiar with the city and the language during their free time included in their busy agenda. Tour the nearby gardens or people watch in the open plazas. Don’t forget to leave room to have a cup of café con leche in Plaza Mayor and explore the nearby Santa Cruz Palace. Talk to the locals at restaurants, or go to the flea markets for deals. Centrally located, visitors can go to Toledo or Segovia for a day trip as well. Whatever your plans, Madrid is a great place to learn about Spanish culture!
