Nature and Animal Watching in Mainland and Atlantic Andalusia
Andalusia is much more than Flamenco, Alhambra and Giralda. This 5 night-6 day tour will focus on the provinces Seville and Cadiz. The purpose is animal watching in Andalusia!
There are many options for animals to watch. First, you can visit a real Cortijo and a farm with free-range bulls. Secondly, you can navigate the Strait of Gibraltar to watch the permanent colonies of free dolphins and sperm whales. On the mainland, you can attend a dressage exhibit and learn everything about Carthusian Horses. Finally, you can discover Doñana National Park, a wetlands natural reserve which is a birds’ paradise in Europe!
The best airports for Atlantic Andalusia are those located in western Spain. Fly either to Seville or to Jerez de la Frontera. The best whale and dolphin watching occurs from the beginning of spring to the end of summer, when the cetaceans are migrating. If spring and summer sound too warm, the mild temperatures of the area also make this trip suitable for the winter and late fall, ideal for bird watching.
This is an exciting trip for those who have traveled to Andalusia before, as well as for newcomers. Contact us if you’re interested in animal watching in Andalusia!
