Évora

We are an Évora DMC that visits the capital city of the beautiful region called Alentejo, the land beyond Tagus River.

Alentejo occupies over a third of the nation’s surface with an unspoiled wild beauty. As a result, olive groves, vineyards and cork oak trees outnumber villages. Within Alentejo are multiple cities, and Évora is the most important economic and tourist centre in the region. Furthermore, it received UNESCO World Heritage classification in 1986.

Évora consists of many famous architectural sites. For instance, you can visit the famous Roman Temple of Diana or São Francisco Church and its chapel of bones. Additionally, Giraldo Square and Santa Maria Cathedral have noteworthy structures. You can include Évora in a Portugal Tour, a tour combining southern Spain and Portugal, or as a day excursion from Lisbon.
