Gibraltar is a small overseas territory of the United Kingdom, bordering the province Cadiz in Andalusia and the Mediterranean in the South of Spain. As a holiday company in Spain, we know the best way to incoorporate Gibraltar into your travels.

The strategic position of “the Rock” (“La Roca” in Spanish) makes it a key overseas British territory. Gibraltar has a short but very interesting history as well. The visit of this small site starts surprisingly at the landing strip of the airport.

Typical houses, bustling duty free shops, and traditional English pubs make up Main Street. You might also run into some monkeys in the Upper Rock. Gibraltar contains Europe’s only wild monkey population in a small natural reserve. Finally, the view of the African coast from Europa Point Lighthouse is highly recommended.

Gibraltar is a common day excursion from Costa del Sol but can also be a stop-over visit when crossing from the Mediterranean to the Atlantic Andalucía. Ferries to Morocco depart from the neighbor city of Algeciras. Gibraltar is a “must” for lovers of the 3-countries-in-one-day visits!
